I'm not reviewing this Lola doll I have brought M for Xmas yet as though I have received it, it has not yet undergone the vigorous testing of children. It's over-priced, i would imagine, at £25 rrp. All of the reviews I have read are glowing about what a fabulous doll it is and how much there toddlers adore changing her into her PJ's at bedtime and how it has helped reluctant toothbrushers find the joy in dental hygiene.

She is soft bodied, comes with pyjama trousers ( her dress is reversible and turns into her pyjama top), toothbrush and toothpaste, slipper socks and a satchel to keep it all in. If you press one hand she says daytime phrases such as " I am hopping, hopping hopping hopping" and if you press the other hand you get nighttime phrases such as " I am not sleepy and I will not go to bed". She is only sponge clean because of the speaking mechanism so you can't put her in the machine until you are really sick of hearing her talk.

The reviews are pretty much 5 star all the way down the line. She seems to be a big hit with toddlers and most of the clothes are Velcro and easy to manipulate. Most of the reviewers seem to agree that the socks are too hard to put on for any 3 year old and they have to have help. My sister thinks she looks a bit scary and says I have to put her away whenever she comes over. I do agree that they seem to have made Lola's eyes a bit funny in the merchandise but I don't think the kids will care.

Many of the reviewers also seem to have bought her at a considerably less than RRP sale price. This always grates on me a little as if it has been sold at a lower price before then it probably will be again soon. Argos is actually selling it for £12.99 but of course not for home delivery and out of stock everywhere I can think that I know anybody. I was going to buy this for M's birthday but couldn't bring myself to pay full price. We were really stuck on anything to get her for Christmas though, and this is part of the 3 for 2 sale in boots so I tell myself that that was the free item and feel better - unfortunately I also tell myself that about the other 2 items I bought lol.
