Feels like cheating....

Ever since A started pre-school there has been the stress of name-tags. It got even worse when he started real school where they want absolutely everything named due to them getting changed for P.E twice a week. I am sadly lacking in many of necessary practical skills of motherhood and had to set husband to work with a needle and thread last year to sew in lots of little tags for A. I know they do iron on ones but everyone I asked said they don't last and you'll be doing them all again after a few washes.

With M starting pre school tomorrow (eek!) I went online to order her some tags and came across these little buttons called easy tags. They are quite a bit more expensive than cloth tags and you have to buy an applicator for £15 before you start but the thought of being able to just stick a label on new school clothes, winter coats etc as they enter the house with so little effort is just too tempting. They are also reusable if you buy extra backs so as I have quite a few years of labelling ahead of me I am hoping to get my money's worth.

A set of 30 tags and backs costs £10 and the applicator is £15. If you need more backs in the future for moving the tags on it will set you back £3.95 for 30. I have ordered 30 for each of my kids and am hoping that will get them through their school life. We shall see - finger's crossed.

Have you tried these yet? Should I rush to buy some before M starts big school?

Yes!

Yes I have and am really pleased with them actually. You might not feel justified in the spending as they are considerably more expensive than sew in ones and you are good at all that stitching malarkey. They have lasted loads of washes so far though and take about 10 seconds to attach and look really nice. I'm a convert.

I am so totally not good at anything involving sewing. Will be investing in some of these. Where do you buy them from (or have I missed that information in my excitement)?

PS. The CAPTCHA for this comment is "and fleshier". Ew. How do they generate these things?
