I've had this a month now and used it quite a lot and all in all I am pretty happy with it. It's very shiny and pretty to look and the slowest speed seems to be just about right, not so fast that everything gets thrown all over the kitchen. I had a Dualit handmixer before which I was fairly happy with, although it always gave off a faint burning smell which was worrying and was heavier and bulkier than the Kenwood. The Dualit broke after 6 month, it's buttons got stuck in and I returned it to Amazon for a refund.

The Kenwood comes on a little stand for supposedly neater storage but I doubt I will use it for long as it's fiddly to get the cord to store completley away in order to sit it on the stand and I think it takes up more room than just keeping the beaters and dough hooks in the drawer. It really is a lovely mixer to use and as long as it stands the test of time then I think we will be very happy together.
